permanently mounted it in the front if my vehicle because battery runs down from the electronic security features and the constant monitoring if the vehicle's engine... Works great, weather tight. . I needed the long cable because of the grill is attached to the hood... This way the slack is in the back near the fire wall and doesn't get pinched it in the wall when the vehicle is serviced.Saves replacing batteries with a float charger attached!!!

I’m a full-time motorcycle travelled. I have a nice Givi tank bag that clips onto my gas tank filler. But I needed a solid way to charge my cameras and phone ,inside the tank bag, that was also able to deal with riding in heavy rain. This cable exactly fit the bill. I wired it directly to my battery and ran the other end up to the tank bag. The connector mounted perfectly to a penetration I put in the side of the bag. Inside the bag, I ran the wire into a water-proof rocker-switch box and replaced all three rocker switches with flush-mount USB A/C chargers. The result is a connection that I can easily unplug if I want to take the top case with me, and the connectors on this product have a nice rubber boot to keep the electric all nice and dry. A perfect and inexpensive setup for long-distance all-weather motorcycle trips.I actually found that the thick wires I bought originally were too big connect splice into the rocker-switch box wires. So I bought a second cable with thinner wires (still plenty enough amperage capacity for my chargers). I wired that inside the box, then used the connector to allow me to unplug the switch box if I need to. This is a much better setup, since having a heavy box hardwired into the bag seemed a little delicate. The modularity made possible by this connector and wire really made it all straightforward. The final project result is “perfect” and even more rugged and reliable.Now I realize that I need to add a switch to the motorcycle’s panel to allow me to switch this new “accessory” power on and off, since the chargers are always “live” and sucking a little battery power. Bonus, though, once the switch is in, the (weatherproof) connector won’t even be live when I disconnect it. So, even more weatherproof.I love these connectors and they made possible a very polished, professional, rugged, waterproof installation of a tank bag electrical charging station that can supply PD power to my Insta360, GoPro, phone, DJI camera drone, jumpstarter, etc, and 5v USB-A/Micro-B to charge intercoms, headlamps and other accessories. All because the wiring is so thick, snug, waterproof and modular. I love these cables!

The cable arrived with a 20A fuse already installed. When I removed that fuse a prong remained stuck in the socket, which pulled the wire out of the fuse body. I discarded the fuses that were included with the cable and installed a Littelfuse fuse. The cable performs satisfactorily now and it seems well made.

This is easy to install, it has the standard bolt pattern. The wiring has the promised 14awg. So, all good. Only thing you always need to watch for is the polarity of the male/female connection as it can be both ways and is available in both ways - make sure you get the right one!
