Great for connecting heated jacket and gloves to battery tender connection...
SAE connectors are nominally rated at 24 amps continuous, but 14 gauge wire only at 15 amps, so this is only really appropriate for about 200 watts or so of solar. I found that the 8mm male plug would barely seat on my Jackery extension cable, but it is because the jackery has a rather short 8mm male part. The plastic shroud on this adapter can be easily trimmed back about 2mm with a sharp box knife for complete ground contact... you may still want to seal the 8mm joint with water tight tape if you let this dangle outside your RV like I do. The SAE connector clamp up is very positive and in a protected downward facing area on my RV. The polarity reverser is needed and works well since there is no male / female aspect to SAE and the exposed lead on a typical connector is typically wired to ground even on an RV input and so needs to be reversed. I did not test the other adapter other than to see that it fits. This product is adequate for say 200 watts of solar. If I had to do this again, I'd look for an adapter with 10 gauge wire (for less voltage drop, ability to run the SAE connector up to 24amp spec, and a greater safety margin) and less of a boot protruding from the 8mm end of the cable. But it will suit my application until such time as I get a solar array in the range of 300-400 watts.
Exactly as described. Would buy again.
Great quality for the price!
It fit perfect and is doing the job. I wished I ordered a long ger cord but this will do.
