I use a solar-powered Bioenno battery with Anderson connectors to power my transceiver in the field. If I needed to use a battery without Anderson Powerpoles, I'd untape the O-rings and connect the radio's wire ends directly to another battery.

I'm happy with this cable. It appears to be constructed correctly. I use it for low current (<30A) charging and discharging on my deep cycle (12V LiFePO4) battery. I have not destructively tested it, but I believe that the fuse would blow before anything about the cable melts.
