The first charging cables I received, the negative cable had a cold soldier joint where the wire is soldiered to the alligator clip. This cable had no conductivity due to this. Replacement set had been soldiered correctly. All the alligator clips when closed are misaligned.

The wires are soldered to the clips and ring terminals which is excellent! The clips are well built and sharp. You need this length at a minimum to reach inside your car. I am running a 800 W Ryobi inverter at 400 W with no problem on the 30 Amp fuse fitted. If I really need more power I could push it with a 40 Amp to 500 W. Any more than that you need to go with No. 8 conductor. The vinyl jacket is ok but becomes a little stiff when cold.
